About

Velorix is a software studio. I'm Suryakant Sharma, and I run it.

I've been writing software for twelve years — at Synup, where I worked on local-marketing infrastructure used by tens of thousands of businesses; at Hopscotch, building consumer products under deadlines that didn't blink; at early-stage startups where I built things from zero; and on apps for NGOs and government programs where real people, in real situations, depended on the thing working.

The lesson kept repeating itself: good software is the kind that still makes sense six months later, and good engineers respect their clients' time. Two small ideas. They turn out to be most of the job.

How we work

• Small commitments, often. We ship in weeks, not quarters, and we say no to things you don't need.
• Boring tech, on purpose. We pick the dull, well-understood option unless there's a reason not to.
• Documents that don't lie. If something is decided, it's written down. If it's written down, it stays current.
• Your code, not ours. Everything we ship is yours, in your repo, with no lock-in.
