Privacy Policy — Ank
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Ank (“the app”) is a number puzzle game for Android, published by Velorix. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version
There is no account to create, and the app never asks for your name, email address, contacts, photos or location. Your games, scores, coins and settings are stored on your device.
Four things involve the internet: adverts, anonymous app statistics and crash reports, the optional Remove Ads purchase, and, if you use Google Play Games, saving your progress to your Google account.
What stays on your device
Stored in the app’s private storage:
- Your game in progress, so you can carry on where you left off.
- Finished games: tier, score, date, stages and pairs cleared, for your bests and stats.
- Daily challenge results and stars.
- Your coin balance, hint credits and settings, and how long you have played.
We have no copy of any of this. Uninstalling the app deletes it, unless you use cloud save (below).
Adverts
The app shows adverts supplied by Google AdMob: full-screen adverts between stages and before results, and adverts you choose to watch for free hints or a bigger gift. Adverts never appear in the middle of a move.
To select and measure adverts, Google collects:
- Your device’s advertising ID — a resettable identifier that is not your name and not your device’s permanent serial number.
- Your approximate location, derived from your IP address. The app never requests GPS or precise-location permission.
- Basic advert interaction and diagnostic data, such as whether an advert loaded, was watched or was tapped.
This data is collected by Google, not by us. Google’s use of it is governed by How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised adverts are shown, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices inside the app. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads on your Android device; the app keeps working normally if you do.
App statistics and crash reports
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to tell us how the app is used and when it breaks, so we can fix bugs and improve the game. They collect:
- Usage events, such as when the app is opened and how long a session lasts, tied to a random app-instance identifier rather than to you.
- Device model, Android version, app version, language and country.
- When the app crashes: a technical report of what the app was doing, with the device state at that moment (for example free memory and orientation).
We see this only as totals and anonymous crash reports. We never receive your name, email address or anything you type. Google processes this data on our behalf under the Firebase privacy terms. Statistics are kept for no longer than 14 months and crash reports for no longer than 90 days.
Remove Ads purchase
Remove Ads is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your card or payment details. The app only receives confirmation from Google Play that the purchase was made, so it can switch off full-screen adverts and restore the purchase on a new device.
Cloud save with Google Play Games
If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, the app saves a copy of your progress — coins, hint credits, finished games, daily stars and play time — to your Google account’s saved games, so it follows you to a new phone. This copy is stored by Google in your account; we cannot read it. Games in progress and settings are not included.
If you are not signed in to Play Games, nothing is saved this way. You can delete the saved copy at any time from the Google Play Games settings for your account.
Contacting us
The “Contact us” button opens your own email app with our address filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself. We use your email only to reply to you.
Children
The app is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Delete your Ank data
Ank has no account, so there is nothing to sign in to and close. Each kind of data is deleted like this:
- Games, scores, coins and settings on your phone. Uninstall Ank, or open Android Settings → Apps → Ank → Storage → Clear storage. They are deleted immediately and cannot be recovered.
- Cloud save in Google Play Games (only if you used it). Open the Google Play Games settings for your Google account and delete the saved data for Ank. Google deletes it; we never had a copy.
- App statistics and crash reports. Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my Ank data”. We reply within 30 days and delete anything we can link to your request. Whether or not you write, statistics are deleted automatically after at most 14 months and crash reports after at most 90 days.
- Advertising data. This is held by Google, not by us. Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, and manage what Google keeps at myadcenter.google.com.
What is kept: if you bought Remove Ads, Google Play keeps the purchase in your Google account’s order history under Google’s own policy, so the purchase can be restored. We keep nothing else.
Your rights
Because there is no account or profile, there is normally nothing for us to look up or correct. For deletion, follow the steps above; for any other privacy question, email [email protected] and we will help.
Users in India have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and users in the EU/UK under the GDPR. The address above is how to exercise them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
